“The Vampire Diaries” has done it again.

Going into tonight’s Season 4 finale, “Graduation,” we knew a few things would happen: The gang would graduate, in a poignant scene that celebrated their history together. Elena would, once again, make a choice between Stefan and Damon. One character who had previously died would return from the dead. And, of course, we knew that someone would take the cure for vampirism and turn into a human. But while we were busy asking who would get the cure and who would spend the summer making out with Elena, we kind of forgot about another season-long mystery: Why won’t Silas let anyone see his real face?

The slight of hand gave us one of the most jaw-dropping finale twists ever… and it was just one of many. We spoke with executive producer Julie Plec about what sort of fall-out to expect from some of the most surprising finale reveals when the series returns in Season 5.

Hello P-Dubbers!

You came to this page because you want to be part of a special project for Paul Wesley. Now we must do this quickly because we want to present this special gift to Paul at TVD NJ in July. Here’s the scoop:

Many of us were heart broken when Paul didn’t win the People’s Choice Award for Best Drama Actor. @TwoMilForPaul on Twitter and myself were definitely heart broken and decided we wanted to present something to Paul at TVD NJ. Unfortunately I won’t be in attendance but TwoMilForPaul will be there and will do the presentation to Paul.

What we would like to do is get a plaque with the following engraved:

“Always Our Choice!

With Love,
P-Dubbers Worldwide”

The total estimated cost of the plaque is between $115 and $200 USD. We will need donations quickly so that we may get the award made so we can give it to Paul during TVD New Jersey on the weekend of July 13-14, 2013.

Deadline to donate is June 1st, 2013. On June 2nd, I will put the order in for the award and @TwoMilForPaul will receive it and present it.

Any extra money raised for this gift will be donated to http://www.humanesociety.org/, a charity Paul Wesley is currently supporting with his wife, Torrey DeVitto.

We would like it to be from everyone however we understand that not everyone has the money to help. We will include a list of all those who donated so that you are all included in this project. Thanks in advance for anyone willing to help. The deadline to donate is June 1st, 2013.

Paul Wesley and Torrey DeVitto handle their own luggage while they leave the Sofitel hotel on Monday afternoon (May 13) in Brussels, Belgium.

The married couple were in town that weekend to attend the BloodyNightCon Europe convention.

Paul recently chatted with Parade about his Vampire Diaries co-star Ian Somerhalder.

“We’ve become really good buddies. I know every single thing about him on every possible level,” Paul said. “I’ve never done a television series for this long, and it’s kind of like the longest relationship you’ll ever have — other than my family and my wife. I feel like I know the good, the bad, the ugly, and the great about everyone in the cast — and they can say the same about me!”

Last year may have marked the end of The Twilight Saga, but the vampire phenomenon is alive and well on the small screen thanks in part to The Vampire Diaries (CW, Thursdays). At the center of the bloodsucking hit is Paul Wesley, who plays a 165-year-old vampire named Stefan Salvatore.

As The Vampire Diaries gets ready to wrap its fourth season, Wesley, 30, talked to PARADE about his role on the show, his heartthrob status, and more.

On playing undead.
“My favorite part about playing Stefan is when he gets to explore his own darkness. I really enjoy finding flaws in the hero, and I think Stefan is the hero of the story in a sense. I love finding his faults and what makes him tick. I definitely prefer the dark Stefan.”

On becoming a pop culture phenomenon.
“I had an idea it would take off the way it did because I knew that vampires were very popular, and I knew of [creator] Kevin Williamson’s work, so I had an inkling that this would do well — I just didn’t know just how well!”

When we found Paul Wesley on “The Vampire Diaries” set a few weeks ago, he was playing around with one of Stefan’s lines in a diner scene with Katherine, Rebekah, and Damon. “I think it can have a little more pizazz,” he told the episode’s writer. “He could be a little more sarcastic or something.”

Season 4 Stefan may not be as mean as he was back in his ripper days, but he’s definitely developed a sharper tongue — and we like it. That’s due, in part, to Wesley looking for opportunities to inject a little more wit into Stefan’s lines.

“I was demanding attitudinal behavior!” Paul jokes. “Season 4 has been a difficult transition for me, because Season 3 was my favorite season because of the things I was able to do as an actor. I had my fun, and now they’re putting Stefan — it’s almost like, you play a game in basketball, and then the coach puts you on the sidelines for a minute, and you’re like ‘Put me out there, coach!’”
